Established 2024 · Mumbai

We hire the people your guests actually meet.

Travelrf is a small recruitment firm working in one lane: travel, hospitality and aviation. Hotel floors, airline cabins, airport ground teams, restaurant groups and tour desks. Six of us, one lane, and every candidate spoken to before a client ever sees a name.

A generalist agency sends CVs. We send people we have met.

Hospitality is judged in seconds, by a guest who will never read a CV. Whether a stay, a flight or a dinner service goes well comes down to the person standing there — how they carry a bad moment, how they read a room, whether they turn up for the early shift in monsoon season.

None of that shows up in a document. So we do the unglamorous part: we speak to every candidate before their name reaches a client, we ask about shifts and commutes and why the last job ended, and we say plainly when someone is not right for a brief. It makes us slower than a job board and considerably more useful.

We started Travelrf in 2024 because the hotels and airlines we knew were being sent volume when what they needed was judgement. We have deliberately stayed small so the person who takes your brief is the person who calls the candidates.

How a search runs
  1. The brief, taken properly

An hour with the person the hire reports to. Not just the role — the standard, the shift pattern, the pay band you can actually approve, and the date you need someone on the floor.

  2. Search across our own bench

Our shortlists start with people we already know from previous searches, then widen through referrals, hospitality institutes and direct approach. No scraped databases.

  3. Screening that is a conversation

Every shortlisted candidate is interviewed by us first — service attitude, shift readiness, English and second language, notice period, and whether the commute is honestly survivable.

  4. Shortlist, then joining

Usually four to six names with an honest note on each. We stay involved through offer, notice period and the first week, because a candidate who never joins is not a placement.

Growing

We are opening a US desk.

Through 2025 we kept getting the same call from a different direction: American hotel groups, cruise operators and travel brands with property or partners in India, asking whether we could handle their side of a hire as well as ours. Enough of those calls became work that we are now building a desk for them.

That desk needs one person in the United States. Full details, pay band and the application form are on the role page — the whole thing takes about two minutes.
